Environment
The week has been marked by the update of access restrictions to natural areas due to African Swine Fever, with Sant Just classified as a moderate-risk zone. This allows access to natural spaces and river areas to resume while maintaining measures such as the ban on hunting, limits on organized sports activities and biosecurity protocols in Collserola. In addition, the municipality has reviewed the results of the Jugatecambientals, which gathered 2,194 participants across 25 sessions at the Torreblanca and Mil·lenari parks during 2025.
Mobility
Sant Just continues to stand out as a leading municipality in daily bicycle use, with the highest number of trips per inhabitant in the metropolitan area. This shift in habits is attributed to both the cycling network and innovation projects. At the metropolitan level, ATM plans to maintain the 50% discount on the most commonly used public transport passes in 2026 (including T-usual and T-jove), subject to State funding, and to apply a 3.5% fare update, balancing discounts with the system’s financial sustainability.

Culture
The Joan Margarit Library has announced a special Christmas storytelling and singing session with narrator Mercè Martínez, aimed at children and included in the town’s festive program. Meanwhile, the Centre d’Estudis Santjustencs has organized a literary evening featuring Christmas poetry and a tasting of “restolines”, and the town is also presenting Sagarra’s Poema de Nadal, performed by Roger Cònsul with musical accompaniment by Flouk. This cultural offer is complemented by various Christmas concerts and activities around the town.
Education
The study rooms at the Joan Margarit Library and the Soledat Sans Serafini Civic Centre are operating with extended hours from 13 December to 25 January, providing quiet spaces for students during exams and the holiday period. In parallel, La Tribu is organizing “IA en joc, una gimcana de descobriment” at La Vagoneta, a family event combining AI-themed challenges, a healthy breakfast and a final performance. At the Youth Centre, a monographic course on Styling and Costume in the Performing Arts offers tools for young people aged 12 to 40 to understand costume as an expressive resource.

Health and Well-being
La Vagoneta is hosting a cognitive stimulation workshop for older adults, with weekly sessions until March focused on improving memory, attention and social skills through play. The activity, organized by AIAC, aims to combat unwanted loneliness and strengthen community cohesion.
Politics
The 18 December plenary session approved not charging the variable component of the 2025 waste tax, resolved the 2026 fiscal bylaws, incorporated councillor Lluc Tost (CUP–AMUNT) and initially validated the modification of the Metropolitan General Plan in the Vall de Sant Just and Mas Lluí area. In interviews, Endavant Sant Just called for the resignation of the Environment councillor over the management of the waste tax, Vox rejected the 2026 budget, and mayor Joan Basagañas defended the accounts as a sign of stability.
