Economy
This week highlighted the announcement of the business event “Diversity that Transforms”, organized by Fundació Integralia and Sant Just Impulsa. Scheduled for 12 December, it will bring together institutions and companies to address labor inclusion for people with disabilities and showcase good practices within the framework of Integralia’s 25th anniversary.

Health & wellbeing
The Salvador Espriu Civic Centre launches new Wellbeing Workshops, including yoga, stretching and gentle gymnastics, running until July 2026. The program focuses on mobility, relaxation and emotional wellbeing and is organized by the local Mental Health Association.

Culture
Several cultural highlights this week:
-
Documentary of the Month: The Ateneu will screen Mr. Nobody Against Putin, a film portraying school militarization in rural Russia during the war in Ukraine. Screening on 10 December.
-
Art Exhibition: Local artist Imma Boronat presents Light Amid the Noise… Dream World, an exhibition blending painting, manual techniques and AI-based installation, open until 31 December and featuring a solidarity component.
The municipality also released its 2025–26 Christmas program, which includes family events, concerts, markets and the Three Kings Parade. All the information about the Christmas activities at nadal.santjust.net

Local incidents
Two young women from Sant Just were arrested on 4 December during police operations connected to pro-Palestine protests. According to activist organizations, they are being investigated for property damage and a possible hate crime. Demonstrations took place outside Esplugues police station and the courthouse. The case remains under investigation.
Transport
Four months after implementation, the B-23 bus lane shows strong results: 10-minute average savings and up to 15 minutes during peak hours. However, delays persist at the Diagonal traffic light, creating a bottleneck. Mobility groups call for further bus prioritization inside Barcelona and an interurban bus hub at Francesc Macià.

Sports
The Sant Just Swimming Club is preparing the second edition of 'Swim for La Marató', a fundraising relay swim in support of cancer research. Taking place on 14 December, the event encourages teams to accumulate as many meters as possible. Last year over 4,000 € were raised, and organizers aim to surpass 20 registered teams this year.
